Elves of Tuetonia

In this campaign setting the Elves call themselves Sidhe which is a real life Celtic word for fae. In the old country (Hykoria) the Hykorians that came to the New World and became Tuetonians had some dealings with fae folk previously, such as the uncaring, slender and grim fae servants of death the Valsaersidhe that lived in places of darkness and pain.

When the Tuetonian’s had their first encounter with Sidhe of the new world during the westward expansion, they noted that they shared physical characteristics with the Valaelsaersidhe but were as tall if not taller then Tuetonians, had tanned skin with dark haired. They also had scars and tattoos but also and painted their bodies and were a seemingly primitive group of hunter/gatherers and were dubbed Wild Elves. When negotiations broke down and war wad declared sparking the Elfwars the Avarisidhe called in the neighboring High Elves for help. The Tuetonians saw warrior clad in elven steel that moved about the battlefield as if they had wings. At first they thought that the Sindarsidhe were some kind of angelic being, later they were confirmed mortal. During the war for various reasons elves and humans mated freely or through force and “half-elves” were born. Depending on who the half elf was raised by produced differing effects.
